Chevrolet Blazer, a mid-size crossover SUV, is produced by General Motors.
Production of the vehicle started in December 2018 and its sales began in January 2019 as a 2019 model. A longer rear section and elective three-row seating version is offered in China. This got to the Chinese market in April 2020.

Where Are Chevrolet Blazers Being Made?
Chevrolet Blazers are made at the Ramos Arizpe Assembly in Mexico.
The facility was chosen for the production of the Chevrolet Blazer because GM’s Spring Hill facilities were at full capacity. The production of the Chevy Blazer in Ramos Arizpe started on November 27, 2018, phasing out the production of the discontinued Chevy Cruze.
The three-row seating variant produced for the China market is, however, built in Jinqiao, Shanghai, China.
Are Blazers for the U.S. Market Produced in the U.S.?
Blazers for the United States are built at the Ramos Arizpe Assembly in Mexico. However, the engines and many other parts of the Blazers are made in the U.S. So, we can say the vehicles are partly made in the United States.
Are They Being Assembled in the U.S.?
Despite the engines and some parts being produced in the U.S., no model of Chevrolet Blazer is assembled in the U.S. The Blazers are assembled at the Ramos Arizpe Assembly in Mexico, and also in China.

The second character tells about the manufacturer. For vehicles produced by General Motors, the second character is G. For Blazers produced in China, the VIN starts with L.

Are Japanese or European Built Blazers Better?
There are currently no reports of Japanese or European built Chevrolet Blazers. The Blazers are built in Mexico and China. It’s important to note that the Chevy Blazer is not available in Europe or Japan. Besides North America and China, the vehicles are also available in South America and South East Asia.
Where Is the Blazer Designed?
We don’t have specifics about where the Blazer is designed. But it’s possible the car is designed by GM of South Korea, as many of the brand’s internationally available models come from the South East Asian General Motors’ design studios.
It is also possible that some of its parts were designed at General Motors’ design studios in the U.S. and other countries.

Where Are Blazers Made for the Australia Market?
General Motors wanted to expand the Blazer’s market to Australia as a Holden name plate until General Motors’ decision to put an end to the Holden brand in 2020. It would have been marketed as a midsize SUV between the Acadia and Equinox.
Where Are Blazers Made for the Canada Market?
Blazers made for the Canada market are similar to those made for the U.S. market. They are also built in Mexico.
Where Are Blazers Made for the U.K. Market?
From our findings, it seems that the Blazers are not produced for the U.K. market. In fact, the vehicle is not available in any part of Europe.
It is also unlikely that the Blazers would be produced for the market soon.

Is Chevrolet Planning to Move Its Production?
The production of the Blazers remains at Ramos Arizpe Assembly in Mexico, as General Motors did not announce any plan to move.
Production of the Blazers started at the facility in 2018 and continues there till date.
Is Chevrolet Hiring or Firing in the U.S.?
GM fired about 15,000 workers in the U.S. and Canada in late 2018 and around 2019.
Some other experts were hired at around the same time. Experts hired were the ones whose skills would be needed to achieve GM’s goals of electric cars and cars that are autonomous.
About 3,000 techies were also employed in March, 2021.
We are, however, not certain if Chevrolet is hiring or firing in the U.S. at the moment.
