Save for the electric version of the Ford Mustang, the Mach-E, all Ford Mustangs are produced at the Flat Rock plant in Michigan, USA. On the other hand, the Mustang Mach-E, which was introduced in 2020, is produced at Ford’s factory in Cuautitlán, Mexico.
Are Ford Mustangs for the US Market Produced in the US?
Only non-electric Ford Mustangs are built in the United States.
However, the Ford Mustang Mach-Es, the electric version of the car in the US market, are sourced from the Cuautitlán factory in Mexico.
Are They Assembled in the US?

Is Ford Planning to Move Its Production?
Presently, Ford does not intend to move the production of the Ford Mustang outside Mexico or USA.
However, the company expanded production of the Mustang to Mexico less than a year ago.
When Ford introduced the new all-electric Mustang SUV, the Mach-E in 2020, it put the Cuautitlán factory in charge of its production.

Is Ford Hiring or Firing in the US?
Currently, Ford is employing and firing staff in the USA.
The bulk of the new members of staff the company is hiring are temporary workers who will replace its absentee employees.
The employees in question cannot come to work because of slow sales and other causes outside of its control.
Nevertheless, Ford is also hiring few permanent employees, especially in the fields of Engineering, Administration, Communication and IT, in the United States.
Ford plans to lay off 1,400 workers in the North America division by the end of 2020.
The company’s management says it will carry out the reduction in staff by making offers of early retirement to older employees.
According to Ford’s President for North America, Kumar Galhotra, says the reduction in the company’s workforce is meant to cut the costs of production and reposition its product for new market realities.
