1. Tesla Model X: 348 Miles

The Tesla Model X is currently the electric SUV with the longest range.

Tesla is known to produce EVs with top driving ranges, so it’s not surprising for the Model X to hit 348 miles on a full charge.

It is a strong performer and a style icon.

That said, there are also known problems with the Model X from Tesla.

The standard powertrain comprises a 100-kWh battery, all-wheel drive, two electric motors, and a single-speed transmission. The base model has an exciting 670 horsepower, while the Plaid model features 1,020 horsepower with three electric motors.

However, this range is only available for the base models, which have a standard 20-inch wheel size.

For instance, the iX xDrive 50 is rated at an EPA-estimated 324 miles. Moving up, SUVs with 21 or 22-inch wheels have a significant drop in range to 315 and 305.

California Route 1 is the only exception, with a net of 314 miles of range with RWD and 312 miles with AWD.
