A gear stick, also known as gear lever in some places, is an integral part of vehicles with manual transmission. As the name implies, gear sticks are used to move the gear, and this is often done after depressing the clutch pedal.

The Audi R8 made its debut in 2006 as a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car with a permanent all-wheel drive feature. Now in its second generation, the R8 has managed to sell tens of thousands of units across the world, and it enjoys stellar ratings from pundits.
When it first debuted, the Audi R8 had a manual transmission option which caught the fancy of customers used to the thrill of gear shifting. However, once the car entered its second generation, the manual transmission was gone.
Audi stated that the reason it eliminated gear sticks was because it figured its manual transmission technology couldn’t handle that much torque, amidst other reasons.

2. Lamborghini Huracan

It offers an all-wheel-drive option, a turbocharged V8 engine, and an excellent fuel economy, amongst other intriguing features. The BMW M5 also sports an eight-speed automatic transmission with no gear sticks or manual transmission option.
While some have criticized the absence of manual transmission and dual clutch, the BMW M5 still holds its own even without them. If you like your cars without gear sticks, the BMW M5 would be a great buy.
4. Ford GT
The Ford GT hit the market during the 2005 model year as a mid-engine sports car. Manufactured by the foremost auto manufacturer, Ford, the GT is one of the most popular sports cars in the U.S. and even globally.
It notoriously went on a ten-year hiatus and later resumed its second generation in 2016. Since then, it has received high praise from critics, with many of them giving it a rare 10/10 score for its efficiency.
Besides its 3.5-liter V6 engine and its ability to complete the 0-60 mph dash in less than 3 seconds, the Ford GT also sports an automatic transmission. Unlike the famous iterations of the GT40 that surfaced in the 2000s, the Ford GT doesn’t have a gear shift or manual transmission option.

5. Nissan GT-R
The Nissan GT-R was introduced as a successor to the Skyline GT-R and officially unveiled in 2007. It is a super-efficient sports car and is also classified as a grand tourer. Given its critical and commercial success, there is no gainsaying that buyers and critics alike are enamored with the GT-R’s features. However, the absence of a manual transmission has sparked several controversial reactions over the years.
As at the time of its debut, Nissan apparently couldn’t come up with a manual transmission that could handle the GT-R’s torque. There are rumors Nissan might be considering adding a manual option in the future; the GT-R is still exclusively automatic, i.e. no gear sticks.
6. Mercedes AMG GT Coupe S
The Mercedes AMG GT S is a high-performance variant of the Mercedes AMG GT, which debuted in 2014 for the 2015 model year. The model is often regarded as one of the best sports cars in existence by reviewers like U.S. News and CarBuzz.
With 515 horsepower, 490 lb-ft of torque, electronic rear differential, and adaptive suspension, amongst others, it’s clear that the GT S is the more efficient variant.
It, however, lacks a manual transmission option as Mercedes considers it needless for its ritzy customers. If you have an opulent taste and detest having to shift gears at every turn, consider the Mercedes AMG GT Coupe S.
7. Acura NSX
The Acura NSX, marketed as the Honda NSX in markets outside North America, made its debut in 1990. Now in its second generation, the mid-engine coupe sports car offers a V6 hybrid powertrain, roomy interior and plush seats.
These features have pushed it into the good graces of foremost auto pundits who have given it excellent ratings across the board.
The launch of its second-generation in 2016 featured the notable absence of the manual gearbox that was a part of the previous generation. However, with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, standard all-wheel drive, and a 573 horsepower, the manual gearbox won’t really be missed.
Car enthusiasts who would rather not deal with the hassles of a manual gear stick would find the Acura NSX alluring and comfortable.
8. Bugatti Veyron 16.4
The Bugatti Veyron is, without a doubt, one of the most popular cars in the world. Production numbers, as well as the enormous price tag, show that it is primarily targeted at the privileged “1%”.
Besides its exclusivity, the Bugatti Veyron sports a 1001 horsepower, quad-turbocharged W16 engine, and an all-wheel-drive powertrain. It is one of the fastest automobiles ever made, and some consider this a curse as much as a blessing given its incompatibility with many roads.
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 makes no room for a manual transmission or gear shift. So, super-wealthy customers with luxury taste and zero tolerance for stick shifts would find the vehicle very appealing.
